Fence mural of flowering saguaros and prickly pear in the Garfield Historic District, Phoenix

Neighborhood mural

Garfield District Diner Fence

For a historic micro-diner at the corner of 10th Street and Roosevelt, Brigitte turned a white picket fence into a love letter to the Garfield Historic District.

Flowering saguaros and prickly pear climb the pickets under a rising sun, a hummingbird works the blooms, and the ribbon of hand lettering that winds between them reads "I love you to the moon and back." An orange and pink Arizona holds the corner with a map pin on the neighborhood: GARFIELD, EST. 1883. She even painted the street signs into the design.

The mural started, like all of her walls, as a hand-drawn digital mockup, and the finished fence keeps the mockup's promise almost line for line.
